“The MA.DE.IN course focuses on the conceptual aspect and on the research of the material as a design method. In this sense, the works presented in this exhibition approach, in a singular way, new possibilities of inhabiting space. Space, focuses on the experience of human habitation. ” (MA.DE.IN.)
At the invitation of the Instituto Europeo de Design – Rio, Penique productions created an onsite installation of relevance within which the works of the Interior Design Masters students were presented. Discussing with the students the theory and delivery behind their work, Penique contributed as educators, artists and scenographers.
“Focused on research, application of methodologies, and projective processes, the course approaches different spaces and scales, from context to detail.”
Penique were commissioned for the unique way in which their art manifests, inhabiting and challenging space and its limits, thus directly addressing and initiating discourse-on a key thematic of the course.
